Huka Falls are the most visited natural attraction in New Zealand for good reason. witness the phenomenon of natural hydro power as 220,000 litres of water go over the 20-metre ledge every second. This awe inspiring display come from the water of Lake Taupo being compressed from a 100 meter wide river to a 20m after passing through a volcanic canyon.

Accessibility

The Spa Park to Huka Falls Walking track is accessible to those in wheelchairs. It is 3km and takes approximately 1.5 hours. The lookout walk is also accessible. This walk is much shorter at 167m and takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the falls.
