We recently had the privilege of being part of a very special journey with Make-A-Wish New Zealand, an amazing charity that helps Tamariki living with serious or critical illnesses experience something they’ve been dreaming of.
One young girl, living with Muscular Atrophy, had a beautiful wish: to travel with her family to Queenstown and build a snowman. A simple idea, but one filled with joy, laughter, and memories she and her family will treasure forever.
To make it possible, Make-A-Wish got in touch with us about an accessible rental vehicle that would let the whole family travel together, and give her the freedom to get in and out without needing to transfer from her wheelchair. We were more than happy to help with a vehicle that got them to the snow and make it easier to enjoy everything Queenstown has to offer.
Over three days in Queenstown, the family made the most of the last of the winter magic – exploring, playing in the snow, and of course building that all-important snowman together.
We feel honoured to have played a part in this wish, and we love the incredible moments Make-A-Wish creates for Kiwi kids and their families. If you’d like to help more wishes, come true, you can learn more at the Make-A-Wish website.
