Nestled in the Taharoa Domain, the Kai Iwi lakes are one of New Zealands best holiday spots. These georgous lakes are renowned for thier clear waters and white sand. Only three hours away from Auckland and 35 Kilometers from Dargaville, this natural gem is perfect for a quick get away. There is even camping avalible right next to the beach.
Accessiblity
Due to a steep but small hill down to the beach and the soft sand, this isn’t for everyone. There is a ramp down to the beach but the fine sand can make it difficult to wheel around. The campground is realitively flat so is an option.
