Take a jet boat down the mighty Waikato River and take in all its beauty. The driver will happily educate you on the wildlife and native New Zealand birds in the area.
“We went on the Riverjet up the Waikato River on the next day. I emailed them before, and I was told that we could do the Scenic Safari Tour (all of the others involved walking at some point). Two men carried my chair and I down to the boat, and then lifted me onto the boat. We were on the big boat, called the ‘Beast’, so my wheelchair could fit in the space next to the engine. I could then slide along the seats. They helped me back into my chair at the café (there was a geothermal park on the opposite bank, but it was not accessible) and did the same on the way back.” – Jasmine
