Located an hour north of Auckland and just outside Matakana is Sculptureum; a sculpture filled garden and gallery experience. On-site is six art galleries, three sculpture-filled gardens, a vineyard, Rothko Restaurant and Freddie’s Outdoor Kitchen, and a chance to get up close and personal with birds, turtles, rabbits, tortoises and pigs.
Owner Anthony and Sandra Grant have spent years creating a destination designed to unlock the imagination, fuel creativity, and ignite the mind. There are hundreds of works on display, chosen to amuse, stimulate, and inspire.
Accessible Information from the Operator
Sculptureum, has a wheelchair accessible car park and toilet, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are 1.5km of flat paths that are very easy to maneuver. There are a couple of wheelchairs on site that you can borrow. You will need to advise at the time of booking if you would like to use one to ensure they reserve it for you on the day. Please note: Sculptureum is not suitable for mobility scooters.
