Freedom Camping on Honeymoon

We did quite a few awesome adventures that were organized by MakingTrax, an adaptive adventure company. They helped us set up a guided kayaking trip with a cruise with Go Orange in Milford Sound. And we went paragliding with Coronet Peak Tandems in Queenstown. We have plenty of photos of that!

We also did a number of accessible trails, like the Lake Gunn Nature Walk, Pancake & Blowhole Rocks, part of the Hooker Valley Track in Aoraki/Mount Cook, the Franz Josef Glacier, and the Ship Creek walk. We mostly stayed in DOC campgrounds that were marked as accessible.

Also, we were able to get the campervan pass through rankers.co.nz, which let us camp at a number of DOC campgrounds for free. We had called before our trip, and Freedom Mobility is now included in their list of eligible companies. Hopefully that will come in handy for other clients!

We had a GREAT time, and were really glad we had such a dependable vehicle! Your whole team is very flexible and helpful. If you were ever interested in having a couple campervans in the fleet, that would be great as well. And, maybe a vehicle where the chair user would be able to sit in the front next to the driver. Definitely sad to leave 🙂

Here’s some photos of the trip.
